The Surreal Feeling of Year 2020

  • Post category:Family

Is it really gone? Did we and the world really gone through Year 2020 together? Because it’s feeling surreal that it’s actually over.

Usually on New Year’s Eve, I’m an early bird to bed because going into a new year usually isn’t a show stopper for me.

But 2020 was different for a variety of reasons. And I wanted to personally see it go into history. Adios, sayonara, yes, let the door hit you on the way out, 2020.

Zen Mum and I stayed up until midnight to wave 2020 goodbye. Tell you what, I was asleep on my feet by the time 11:30 PM came around. But I was determined to see it through, doggoneit. The struggle was real and was the same exact thing that we went through this entire year. Pretty fitting how 2020 made me feel to the very bitter end.

But…end it did.

Here’s to a brand New Year. Sending positive vibes for a better year too.

Don’t Quit

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,

When the funds are low and the debts are high

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

When care is pressing you down a bit,

Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and turns

As every one of us sometimes learns

And many a failure comes about

When he might have won had he stuck it out;

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow—

You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out—

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,

And you never can tell just how close you are,

It may be near when it seems so far;

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit—

It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit
