Keep Calm & Carry On – Don’t Forget To Wash Your Hands Too

Keep Calm & Carry On – Don’t Forget to Wash Your Hands Too.  This is my spin on the enduring words of wisdom from WWII.  Seems quite appropriate and applicable nowadays.

If it wasn’t for the fact that it’s really happening, I’d thought everything on the news nowadays had to be a movie.

Coronavirus

I don’t remember ever this kind of reaction when we had to deal with SARs, the swine flu and everything else that passed through the night.

Now there’s actually stories that advise that seniors stay home, as they’re a specially susceptible population to this new virus.

Zen Master and Zen Mum had asked me if they should stay home from the gym, from going to Silver Sneakers.  This is a new one for me.

How do you answer that?  How do you assuage the underlying worry in that question?

I think back in history about how the people had dealt with living under the stress of WWII.  How they continued some sort of normalcy under such conditions.  I know comparing the Coronavirus to WWII is a complete apples-to-oranges comparison but I think there’s a similar theme on how do people carry on.

There’s a common stem of human resiliency despite the challenges.  And honestly, that leaves me quite encouraged and hopeful of our continued ability to overcome everything that comes our way.

Just a short post today because I had a bit of internal musings that I needed to get out.  I honestly don’t really know what else to say about this, except to end it saying that this too shall pass.
