I’m the luckiest Auntie in the whole world. In the last couple of blogs, I posted old blogs from before my blog crash and they were both about my nephew when he was still a baby. Year end usually makes me reminisce about the past because it always puts into perspective how blessed I am.
Now he’s 8 years old and he’s not alone. Baby brother arrived about five years after him and now I have two cuties for nephews. Did I mention that I’m the luckiest Auntie in the whole world?
Next year I’ll be 50 years old, and my own two kids are my elderly father and mother. And when I want a switch-up of kids, I go and visit my nephews. So the rotation satisfies my “motherly” needs of wanting or needing to dote on someone.
It’s enough to make my life quite fulfilling and satisfying and I wouldn’t want it any other way, really.
Next week’ll be my last blog post for 2019. Can’t believe that we’re already at year-end! This year certainly has been monumental, both mentally and spiritually.
But really really excited about the next adventures around the bend in 2020!
